A faded Marie Callender’s sign stood near a pile of rubble that contained the remains of the old restaurant which was demolished this week to make way for the High Desert’s first Chick-fil-A.
On Tuesday, a work crew began razing the nearly 30-year-old building on the property located on Mariposa Road in Victorville, said Paul Emery, the owner of Emery Concrete & Asphalt Recycling in Hesperia.
“The building will be gone and down to the slab by the end of the week,” Emery, 57, told the Daily Press on Tuesday.
