A 57-year-old man who was detained after allegedly fatally shooting a couple inside a US bar has admitted that he killed them to rob them of less than $150 from the cash drawer.
Thomas Routt Jr. was charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the deaths of Gina Weingart, 37, and her husband, Emerson Weingart, 33
Gina Weingart, 37, and Emerson Weingart, 33, were shot and killed in a bar robbery on February 1 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Thomas Routt Jr., 57, was arrested after he confessed to killing them.
