Revolution looking to alter history vs. Atlanta United

The New England Revolution are hoping their unbeaten start to the MLS regular season, coupled with a little home cooking, will lead to a different result against Atlanta United FC.
The host Revolution (1-0-1, 4 points) are seeking their first-ever win against Atlanta United (1-0-1, 4 points) when the two sides meet on Saturday night at Foxborough, Mass.
Atlanta United have outscored the Revs 16-3 while going 5-0-2 in seven prior meetings with New England, which has averaged just 0.29 points per match against them - their fewest against any MLS opponent.

The Philadelphia Union’s 3-0 Concacaf Champions League victory over Atlanta United was a game of two halves. Nearly every Union fan felt dejected after an extremely deflating first half performance. It looked like the Union had maintained their second half form against Inter Miami and were in for a long night in Atlanta.
Forty-five minutes later, however, the fanbase was singing a different tune after the Union stole a 3-0 victory from at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Barco, Hyndman goals lead Atlanta United past Chicago 3-1

ATLANTA (AP) Ezequiel Barco scored Atlanta’s first MLS goal of the season and an own goal by the Chicago Fire propelled United to a 3-1 victory in its home opener Saturday night, giving new coach Gabriel Heinze his first league victory.
Chicago tied the game at 1 in the opening minute of the second half on Luka Stojanovic’s second goal of the season, taking advantage of a sloppy effort by Atlanta’s back line.
But United (1-0-1) regained the lead in the 66th minute. Marcelino Moreno’s cross escaped goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth, deflected off Chicago defender Johan Kappelhof and rolled into the net for an own goal.

Brendan Hines-Ike scored the goal that made the difference in the encounter when he turned the ball into his own net past helpless goalkeeper Chris Seitz in the 48th minute.
Cameroon midfielder Kaptoum delivered a solid defensive performance to ensure his side kept a clean sheet before he was replaced by Thomas McNamara.
He will hope to continue his fine showings when the Revs take on Atlanta United in their next league game on May 2.
Elsewhere, Nigerian forward Chinonso Offor was on parade for Chicago Fire in their 3-1 defeat to Atlanta United.
The attacker was handed his second league start and gave a good account of himself, although, his effort was not enough to save his side from their first loss of the season.
