regular trip. i didn t feel we were exception e going exceptionally fast. it felt we were going 60 70 miles an hour. it s just when it started violently rocking, especially to one side and then the other. it just happened that fast and, you know just having getting up and people crying out, you know when i got up and saw out the window, i kind of pulled myself up and stood on the bench where you sid down on the cafe car, i was able to reach out to the emergency window. i kind of punched it out and then there was folks, people were freaking out. they were some were like claustrophobic. get out of the train. then i just think there were 11
from the emergency window toward the top. and part of the train is as someone had just ripped the train apart and mangle it together in pieces. you could see debris and chairs just everywhere. and even in complete darkness you could see how wide a territory it is spread. meanwhile, there is a couple dozen of passengers just a little bit confused and shock. and we could hear people saying that get off the track, get off the track there is live wires. and you just don t know what will happen next. we don t know if a train is coming from the opposite direction or what is coming up next until the first responder came. and when they came they really settle all the passenger into a different area and start performing triage asking people questions, and tagging the different passengers with you know almost like a big color card with one, two, and three. red, yellow and green. i guess that s based on the severity of the injury.

trying to maintain calm get the people that were frooeking out, get them out of the train, push them through the emergency window. the other people we stabilized and let them know it was going to be okay that things were under control. patrick, in the cafe car that you were in when everybody settled, was that car over on its side? yeah. i was upside down on top of i mean the tables came out and everything. so i was helping i was getting off the guy that i landed on top of and getting everybody set to make sure you know we were worried. we didn t know exactly if we were near somewhere where we could, so i had to get my bearings and make sure we were okay. there were 200 people on this train. the fact that was the person i landed on fell off the train
well i slid through and handed on my head. the guy next to me i just got myself up. then checked my body parts and everything was there. and then i had to pull myself up. it was sideways. so the guy that was okay next to me then there was another guy right next to us who was totally knocked unconscious and bleeding. i grabbed him and shook him a little bit and said hey, buddy, buddy. he eventually came to. there was a lot of screaming and things of that nature. the first thing i did was pull myself up to what would be the ceiling, although it was the side of the train. on the western side and pushed out the emergency window as far
