Medical student from Sleaford behind fundraiser for a memorial to emergency services

A trainee doctor from Sleaford has started up an organisation to help other prospective medical students and is now leading a fundraiser to build a monument to the emergency services and those that have ever sacrificed their lives in the course those roles.

Following a unanimous vote in the London Assembly today, London Mayor Sadiq Khan, along with the chairman of the Assembly, will write to the Prime Minister outlining the case for an Emergency Services Cenotaph and to request funding. The motion was proposed by Liberal Democrat Assembly Member Caroline Pidgeon, who said it was important to honour the “importance to our country” of all NHS and emergency service workers, past, present and future.
