Hardwick gets to work making administrative changes, forging partnerships
St. Johns County Sheriff Robert Hardwick was officially installed into his new position Tuesday.
The incoming sheriff, who won the office in the November election, was sworn in at a ceremony which was scaled down to a small gathering due to COVID-19 safety protocols.
Hardwick, 49, succeeds former sheriff David Shoar who held the top law enforcement position in the county for 16 years.
