These hospitals have collectively cared for 70 of the 184,000 americans that required hospital inpatient care. 10 billion of the 12 billion will go toward hospitals treating 100 or more covid19 admissions. This is consistent with our effort to ensure americans who need federal government assistance the most receive it. About one mile visibility but a drop in novato and some patchy fog. Be careful if you are headed out with current temperatures showing a few spots in the 30s. Napa, they are dealing with fog and it is tough to warm up with 30s going on and 40s in berkeley and 50 in San Francisco. A quick look at the stormtracker with low clouds and we will see things get sunny and bright today with calm wind and looking pretty good. Looking at the forecast, 60 degrees at the coast and low 70s as we get inland. Talking about the extended forecast, we will talk about that in a bit. For now, over to sal. The commute has traffic moving along okay if you are driving on 80 westbound from crockett to hercules. No major problems on the benicia bridge heading to concord and the commute looks good toward the macarthur maze with a look at the Richmond Bridge having traffic off to a good start. 5 01 and back to the desk. Production is ramping up in San Francisco on the side of matrix 4 with crowds gathering over t
Been there and clear out as we go into the afternoon. A little sunshine is coming your way and wed love to see some rain. Were not going to see that today or the rest of this workweek. Highs today will be 60s at the coast, mid60s around the bay and low 70s as we head inland. Well talk about the possibility of rain when i come back, but for now well talk about the possibility of getting to work on time and head to sal. How is it looking . It looks okay, kyla. So far, see good on most of these commutes. I have a problem ill tell you about right now. The approach to the bay bridge looks okay. 31minute drive from the carquinez bridge to the maze, another 20 here at the bay bridge toll plaza and the commutes are mostly normal as you drive through the bay, including the south lake, except for the Santa Cruz Mountains. Well tell you why getting from Scotts Valley to the other side of the summit is going to be a big slow down. 7 01 lets go to the deck. There are no classes at a high school in
Suspension, its the backup that you have to deal with behind the tolls on the oakland side thats just not fun and not improving so its through the mates 5. 80 the e sure but looking good on the suspension and the skyway so its not this congested all the way across and thats why it is under 15 minutes to make it off to fremont street. Other side of the bay a one on one approaching San Francisco. Well both directions north and south slow cesar chavez to 3rd and then 2. 80 still a bit busy out of daly city heading north north of highway, one to the one oh one split will check more coming up james. All right. Thank you very much robin happening today we are remembering the loma prieta earthquake which struck 30 years ago on this very day. The epicenter in the Santa Cruz Mountains but it caused devastation across the entire bay area as we look at some of the video there with sections of the upper deck of the old eastern span of the bay bridge collapsing onto the lower deck, dozens of people
