Emergency agencies are continuing to search for a missing swimmer in Lake Travis, with officials saying the effort had transitioned into “recovery mode” Saturday evening.
Austin-Travis County EMS responded at about 6:10 p.m. to a report of a swimmer who had not resurface. The swimmer went under in the Jonestown area, near Live Oak Avenue, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
Responders at the scene reported that a second person jumped in after the missing swimmer. One person was pulled from the water and moved to Emerald Point Marina to be examined, and was later transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital with minor complaints, according to EMS officials.
