View Comments A man was arrested after being accused of robbing a convenience store by pulling out a knife and threatening an employee, officials said. Jose Manuel Zavala, 25, on Saturday went into a South El Paso convenience store in the 900 block of South Ascension Street, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office officials said. Zavala pulled out a knife in a “threatening manner” toward an employee and demanded money from the cash register, then fled, officials said. During their investigation, deputies identified Zavala as the suspect in Saturday’s robbery and another robbery committed April 23, officials said. The April 23 robbery was at a convenience store in the 1300 block of Horizon Boulevard in far East El Paso County.
