Yesterday marked the 240th anniversary of this nations very First Military memorial. On january 25, 1776, the Continental Congress approved the nations First Military memorial which commemorates brigadire general richard montgomery, one of the first generals lost in the american revolution. Since 1776, communities all across the United States have built solemn, poignant tributes to our soldiers and sailors, and airmen, our nurses, and all the people helping back home. Lets remember, without a supportive and helpful home front, no military campaign succeeds.
