A Le Sueur County man died Sunday night after being pinned by a round bale, authorities said.
According to the Le Sueur County Sheriff s Office, deputies and emergency personnel were called to a home in Elysian Township, northeast of Mankato, at about 8:36 p.m.
The sheriff s office said authorities were told a man was pinned between a large round bale and a metal-framed livestock feeder.
First responders were able to free the man before performing life-saving efforts but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The department identified him as 57-year-old Martin Jeffery Baker.

Robert (Bob) C. Albrecht of Baxter, Minnesota was called home to the Lord on December 26, 2020. He was born on March 12, 1929 in Elysian Township in Le Suer County Minnesota to Edward and Ida (Roemhildt) Albretch. He married his high school sweetheart Lillian Landt on October 12, 1952. He graduated from Medford High School and attended the University of Minnesota and some technical schools. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1948 in Korea. He worked for Northwest Airlines and radio station KYED from 1951 to 1962. Bob was particularly proud of his career with 3M serving the company from 1952 to 1988 in several locations in the Midwest.
