Studying sciences, East London resident Jomien Mouton had no idea that she would one day own a design and décor shop. The mom of three started Sage and Magnolia in September 2022, opening up a space in her Nahoon home to house and offer a variety of curated homeware, décor and furniture items. “I have always enjoyed being creative, but I am from a completely different field, and studied BSc Human Life Sciences at Stellenbosch and completed my PhD in Genetics in 2014.
