Two people were injured in an assault at a home in Rideau Ferry early Saturday morning, provincial police reported.
Officers of the Ontario Provincial Police’s Lanark County detachment were called to a home on Elsie Street, in the Rideau Ferry area of Drummond-North Elmsley Township, just after 1 a.m..

“Two males were assaulted within the residence, and were transported to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries by Lanark County paramedics,” OPP added.

On Nov. 19, Michael L. Johnson broke into a house in the 24100 block of South Countryside intending to commit a theft, Johnson s criminal charges state. His forfeiture complaint goes into greater detail about the events that led to his arrest by the Channahon Police Department.
