Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 27) San Miguel Corporation has been relentless in helping those who need it the most.
It provided free livelihood and skills training for 22 Dumagat tribe members living in Norzagaray, Bulacan.
The tribesmen and women, mostly farmers and fisherfolk, reside in the town’s deep forests.
They graduated on Thursday morning after undergoing food processing and entrepreneurship training for weeks.
San Miguel is also providing them freezers, coolers, and Magnolia products to start their livelihood.
The beneficiaries, while undergoing mentoring, can resell San Miguel food products in their communities.
The conglomerate tied up with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for the training.
