A little over a year after a crash killed two teens, the mother of an unlicensed teen driver charged with their death pleaded guilty to allowing her to drive.
Families want stricter penalties against teenagers who drive without a license and their parents, who police say are knowingly letting them get behind the wheel.
Police say Nikia Killens, 17, lost control of her mother's car in the early morning of Aug. 6 that killed two other teenagers in a crash in St. Petersburg, Florida.
St. Petersburg Police arrested Nikia Killens, 17, and her mother, Eloda Hogan, last week on charges related to an August crash in St. Petersburg that killed two teenage passengers.
