At a 2020 budget presentation in May, Department of Economic Development Director Valerie Jackson said going into the year, there was $1 billion in private investment in the pipeline, representing around 5,000 residential units, and over 500,000-square-feet in retail.
Jackson noted, We also were looking at, from a goals perspective for 2020 in constructing. or starting the construction of approximately 2,000 residential units, and almost 400,000-square-feet of retail.
