The Elmhurst office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago and the firm s philanthropic arm, the Kindness Foundation, announced that they donated $1,000 to the Elmhurst-Yorkville Food Pantry in December.
The money was part of a $40,000 donation pool to local food pantries in December. The Elmhurst office has an ongoing relationship with the Pantry and chose to support them because of their dedication to providing food, compassion, and hope to neighbors and children in need.
Joe Stacy, senior vice president, general sales manager, Kindness Foundation chairman and Elmhurst office managing broker, said, I was really pleased to share that we gave $1,000 to the Elmhurst-Yorkville Food Pantry in December. The importance of the work they do cannot be underscored enough. According to their website, in fiscal year 2019, they served over 3,800 individuals of which 1,457 were children and 652 were seniors.
