David Brown Automotive reveals the Speedback GT
David Brown Automotive has completed its latest build of a striking Speedback GT, finished in its bespoke Blue Moon hand-painted finish. A true example of personal expression, the grand tourer is destined for a customer in Germany and is a showcase of David Brown Automotive s ability to offer bespoke solutions for any style, with this car custom-built with a number of exclusive accessories and bespoke options. The iconic Speedback GT model - the staple of David Brown Automotive s product lineup since the brand was launched in 2013 - underwent an 8,000-hour build process at David Brown Automotive s purpose-built Silverstone manufacturing facility, where the company crafts its Mini Remastered and Speedback GT cars by hand, carried out by highly skilled technicians who specialise in traditional coachbuilding techniques.
Seriously, just look at it
Hardcore Aston Martin fans will be familiar with the name David Brown. Mr. Brown is the man responsible for the famed DB moniker and has a lifelong connection with the famed British carmaker. David Brown s cars have made internet headlines for years, and the David Brown Speedback GT is possibly one of the most beautiful cars around (sorry V12 Speedster). David Brown Automotive has now completed its latest Speedback GT build for a customer in Germany, and as always, the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in this build leads to a true piece of automotive art.
David Brown Automotive (DBA) has completed the build of yet another Speedback GT, which will be shipped to its owner in Germany.
The pictured Speedback GT features a black mesh satin grille, with auxiliary LED lighting and shiny metal accents, and is finished in Blue Moon. The bespoke GT sits on a set of 19-inch polished stainless steel wire wheels for summer use, wrapped in David Brown-branded tires made by Avon, and is also accompanied by a Union Flag-inspired set of rims for winter driving.
Wrapped in ‘Tabak’ tan leather and equipped with hand-crafted ‘Elm Burr’ satin lacquered wood veneers, the interior is also custom and features a drinks set that can hold the owner’s preferred beverage of gin and tonic, dubbed as “a quintessentially British signature of the car”, including two crystal highball glasses. There is also a bespoke woolen picnic blanket on deck, stored under the picnic seat that extends out of the boot.
