Annapolis City Council approved a resolution to name the new public works facility after David Jarrell, who is retiring next month after 13 years with the city.
The Annapolis City Council voted Monday evening to pass a resolution siding in part with the Truxtun Park Penguins in a dispute with the city’s parks department over pool usage. But the vote stopped short of resolving the feud regarding the swim team’s contract to use the city’s lap pool, leaving negotiations open as the swimming season nears.
At Monday’s meeting, the all-Democratic council demonstrated that their views differ widely, especially when it comes to local housing and development policies.
