April showers bring May flowers, but vegetation management servicers are working to make sure they don’t also bring power outages.
Duquesne Light Co. recently began its annual vegetation management efforts in Beaver County and workers are operating in tandem with borough and township officials to keep area power lines clear and protected from seasonal storms.
Though local government agencies work all year to keep trees and vegetation away from power lines in their communities, Duquesne Light boosts area efforts in the spring and summer months, as the company provides service for 72,000 county residents through over 400 circuit miles of transmission lines.
