Swell delivers a combination of hard hitting rock numbers and gentle, atmospheric ballads, packed with punchy guitar riffs and memorable melodies. The five-piece also brought in a couple of guests, including Stu Garrard from Delirious? (although his role wasn t as prominent as I d have hoped, I wouldn t have even noticed without studying the credits). Though the entire album was of the highest quality, lyrically and musically proficient throughout the self-penned 12 songs here. The particular highlights for me were the openers Lift Him High , Swell and Your Joy while You Are Welcome effectively took the mood down to a soothing tenderness. All in all, a top rate worship project.
