Garden of Reflection: Campaign to support 9/11 memorial pushes on

Mission accomplished.  Ellen Saracini longs to say those words.  The widow of Victor Saracini, a United Airlines pilot killed in the terror attacks on 9/11, she has worked non-stop for the past 20 years to build The Garden of Reflection in Lower Makefield. The project has been an outstanding success, as the memorial attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year who come to pay their respects to the 2,973 victims who lost their lives in the attacks that tragic day, including 18 from Bucks County.    But Saracini has spearheaded a new goal  to ensure that The Garden will be cared for into perpetuity. A campaign to raise $2 million is approaching the finish line  just $200,000 more is needed.

secure cockpit anyhow. and to that point, you mentioned it that el al has it in place, and even if it is expensive to do it on so many planes, losing a plane is expensive as well, and the liability issues that come with that if there is a precaution that the airline could have taken, and i mean, assuming, and we don t know the kausz of it, but if it were this and they could have take n this precaution, that is a also a very expensive venture, right? of course. of course, it is. if you add it up per airplane, but it is saddening me that we have to get to this point and revisit it. ellen saracini s push for this all of these years over something that we were speculating might have occurred, but it is great from that standpoint that this is one benefit of the tragedy that might be flight 370, but i m re really big endorser as my colleagues are in the airlines to have this in place. and we will see if it pushes some new momentum into this bill

later. more ships are headed to that area. crews also continue searching in the northern corridor and seven countries in that area have told investigators they did not pick up any signals from the plane on their radars after it lost contact with ground control. see the on-going search for flight 370 is heartbreaking for families who have lost loved ones and for some the idea that terrorism might be involved in any way is especially tough. we want to be clear, we still don t know what happened here but right now it seems like just about anything is possible and nothing the really off the table. i m joined now by ellen, her husband victor was killed on 9/11. he was the pilot of the united airlines flight that crashed into the world trade center south tower. she has pushed for better security for cockpits to prevent hijackings ever since. ellen, nice to see you. i m certainly sorry it s under these circumstances but i know you re trying to do some important work here. before we talk a lit
