The other is an immigrant. This is sort of a pattern his critics see as engaging in racial baiting as an outreach, essentially, to White America or even White Supremacists. The president , of course, denies that. The president and the people around him say he is not engaging in racism, that he is talking about love of country and objecting to some of the things that they have said in this particular case, but more broadly in terms of the pattern of some of this behavior. They really object to the suggestion that he is racist, but there are people on the other side who think that thats exactly the kind of behavior that hes engaging in and that this tweet exemplifies that.
