A long-running local collaborative initiative designed to nurture students’ interest in science has managed to pivot during the pandemic, offering high-quality, virtual programming to schools across Lambton and Kent counties.
The Science Education Partnership – an alliance amongst local public and Catholic school boards, business, industry and several community organizations – was formed in 1992 with the aim of broadening and supporting science education in elementary school classrooms through the use of hands-on lessons given by an eclectic array of experienced and knowledgeable local volunteers.
