ONE MORE DEATH RECORDED EVEN AS COUNTY COVID CASES CONTINUE TO FALL

By Kevin Zimmermann May 18, 2021 | 4:07 PM Although the number of active cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County has declined to a level not seen since late August last year, the disease continues taking a tragic toll on Sheboygan County residents.  The latest casualty recorded during the pandemic by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health is said to be someone 80 or older, becoming the 143 victim in Sheboygan County.  Of that number, seventy-five have been 80 or older, thirty-two were in their 70s, twenty-two were in their 60s, five were in their 50s, five were in their 40s, three were in their 30s and one was between 10 and 19 years old.

CCOUNTY COVID HOSPITALIZATIONS SHRINK TO 1, STATE TOTAL CASE COUNT TOPS 600K

By Kevin Zimmermann May 4, 2021 | 4:05 PM (WHBL) – As of Tuesday’s COVID-19 update from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health, the number of residents hospitalized for treatment of the disease has fallen to just one, a level last reported on April 1st.  Testing, though, resulted in five more positive returns than have recovered in the last day, putting the active case count at 128.  The 15 new cases put the running total for the county at 13,697. 721 new cases were reported by the Wisconsin DHS, raising the state’s total case count so far to 600,297.  11 deaths recorded since Monday put the casualty count at 6,850, and another 86 persons were hospitalized in hopes of recovery.  A net gain of 11 was noted in the state’s patient population, which now stands at 326.  98 of those are in ICU beds, and 403 patients in Wisconsin are on ventilators.
