loss of the only british monarch many of them, particularly the vast majority of them, would ever have known. tibet s spiritual leader the dalai lama called the queen a model of strength and dedication, and last night a truly emotional, personal reaction from canada s prime minister. she was our queen for almost half of canada s existence, and she had an obvious, deep and abiding love and affection for canadians. canada is in mourning she was one of my favorite people in the world, and i will miss her so. wow. hmm. cnn has reporters all around the world and in several commonwealth nations covering reaction to the queen s death.

king charles iii, you saw him there moments ago, greeting his subjects outside buckingham palace for the first time there since ascending the throne. he s now back inside the palace, heart felt moments, smiles, a kiss, emotional words for the new king and even a song as he was going through the crowd. that s right. that s right. we think he they may have been singing god what did you say, god save the queen. it may have been sticking with the old lyrics for now, understandably. i m sure things will change over time. it does change. it marks such a change after seven decades on the throne for her. what a warm reception on a beautiful, i should note, sunny, blue sky day in london for the beginning of a new monarch. members of the u.s. parliament are also paying their respects to the queen right now as thousands line up to lay these flowers outside of buckingham palace. we are going to stay on this live coverage.
we love the royals, and just look at the amount of flowers and makeshift memorial that has popped up over the last day or so. it is really heartening to watch this and to experience it, i should say. a word on camilla, she s someone who isn t naturally comfortable in front of the cameras, someone that doesn t choose to go to every event. she chooses which ones she goes to. she dips in and out. this is a massive moment for her. she doesn t she doesn t seek the limelight. she doesn t i wouldn t say she would have an ambition to become queen, whatever anyone else says. she is always about supporting charles. this is, you know, this is why can we listen to this? they re doing a hip hip hooray. she is there alongside him, which is why he s so supportive of her as well. we have king and queen outside their new residence of buckingham palace, looking at the flowers and taking in the
