NASSAU, BAHAMAS Officers of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) last week set forth on an Easter initiative to give back to the less fortunate in the community.
Led by Commander Natasha Miller, the RBDF commanding officer for the Military Police and Force Protection Unit (MPFPU), and Force Chief Petty Officer Oral Wood, the team of officers and marines visited the Nazareth Centre for Children, Millennium Gardens, to spread Easter cheer. Receiving the gifts was the acting administrator, Elizabeth Mackey.

FAIRMONT Jack Noble Mackey, age 78, of Fairmont, Minn., passed away Friday morning, Jan. 29, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, Minn. Services for Jack will be at a later date. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jack was born June 7, 1942, in Fairmont, Minn., the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Noble) Mackey. He graduated from Fairmont High School in 1960 and attended Thief River Falls Vocational School to study aircraft mechanics. In April 1967, Jack and Mary Ellen Mackeben were married at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. They shared 22 years together until her passing in November of 1988.
