MARYLAND Fortune Magazine released its annual list of the 500 top companies in America this week, and three of those companies are based in Maryland.
This year marks the 67th edition of the Fortune 500, which ranks companies by total annual revenue. Combined, the corporations on this year s list employ about 29.1 million people worldwide and generated $13.8 trillion in revenue in the last fiscal year, accounting for about two-thirds of the total U.S. gross domestic product.

Turns out these tiny hitchhiking pests are quite fond of our city, according to the latest numbers available through Atlanta-based Orkin, a company that specializes in pest control services.

Data for the report was provided by state highway safety offices. Since the data is preliminary, it may also be incomplete, according to the Governors Highway Safety Association. The numbers are meant to provide an early look at 2020 pedestrian deaths, months before the data is available through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration s Fatality Analysis Reporting System.
