Four of the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club’s eight new members, whose inductions were postponed, were celebrated with an induction ceremony led by President Julie Forbes April 29 at Stella’s on the Square in Bridgton.
New members received their pins and badges and other Rotary paraphernalia, including aprons, T-shirts, masks, Clynk Bags and Rotary literature.
The newest inductees include: John Eliason, a dentist; Aaron Hagan, a banker; Cathy Pinkham, the local health officer; and Carol Rothenberg, a retired educator and environmental activist. All are new to Rotary except Eliason, who joined the South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Rotary Club 20 years ago and transferred to the club after moving full time to Harrison last year.

In the past 10 years, over 2,500 dictionaries have been distributed to third graders by the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club. Unlike previous years, Rotarians were unable to hand the dictionaries to the students directly, but the youngsters will have an opportunity to enjoy their very own dictionary, nonetheless.
