Halstead care home in good spirits after staff and resident vaccine success

A CARE home is celebrating after becoming one of the first in the area to receive Covid-19 vaccinations for almost all staff and residents. Colne View care home, in Halstead’s Dame Mary Walk, has seen the vast majority of residents and staff given the first dose of the vaccine. The home was supported by the Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery, which helped with the vaccinations. One of the first in the queue was 93-year-old Pearl Medd. She said: “We were all so pleased to hear that we were getting the vaccine, it has provided hope for everyone.” Home manager Razvan Stanbeca said: “We are so pleased that residents in our home have had the vaccination.
