Find Your Bangladesh: Connecting the youth with their historical roots Rasheek Tabassum Mondira Rasheek Tabassum Mondira Find Your Bangladesh , an online competition organised by Finding Bangladesh and supported by The British Council Bangladesh, aimed to engage and mentor the youth, on their historical roots. This team based competition, asked each team to identify a historical site in Bangladesh that is being slowly lost with time. The teams set out to find creative ways to better promote, protect, and preserve the location, and in the process learn its related histories, mythologies, legends, and the socio-cultural importance of the site.
Finding Bangladesh, founded in 2008 by Adnan M S Fakir, is an initiative that works on collecting, preserving, and initiating conversations among younger generations about Bangladesh s ancient histories, folklores, mythologies, and legends.
Fundraiser for Nusrat Fabiha held at Kona Café

Kona Café, situated in the premises of Lakeshore Hotel, recently organised a fundraiser for two year old child Nusrat Fabiha, who is battling cancer.
Students of AISD, Sunbeams and Sir John Wilson performed at the event, which was attended by many young people in the capital. The performers were Marzuq, Jiwon Kim, Nabiha, Tahmeed and Yashmira.
The café is now regularly arranging musical evenings, previously featuring Elita Karim and Amid Hossain Chowdhury. Artistes like Arnob, Minar and Fairooz will perform in the coming weeks.

Last week, the streaming juggernaut officially launched their app in Bangladesh. Since its launch in 2008, Spotify has been the world s most popular audio streaming subscription service, with 345 million users, including 155 million subscribers, across 170 markets.
Spotify has revolutionised the way audiences consume music. From creating playlists to machine learning algorithms, it helps both listeners and artistes enjoy creating and sharing their hard work.
With it, listeners get access to a range of artistes and songs. The app can suggest songs according to the listener s mood and preferences. It has also changed the way artistes promote and connect to their listeners as well.
