GBPD assisted BCSO on a traffic stop with a report of a narcotics violation Thursday morning in the 5600 block of 10th Street.
An injury crash was reported at 24th Street and Washington Avenue at 6:28 a.m. Thursday. Only minor injuries were reported.
Criminal damage to a vehicle was reported at 11:43 a.m. Thursday at 340 Heizer St.
A battery was reported at 3:55 p.m. Thursday. Jason Hardiman was arrested and booked for battery domestic violence and criminal restraint in lieu of bond.
Theft of two chain saws from a shed was reported at 4:29 p.m. Thursday at 2110 29th St.

Fraud was reported Friday at a residence on North U.S. 281, Hoisington.
A minor injury crash was reported at 7 p.m. Friday at West U.S. 56 and Railroad Ave., Great Bend. The Great Bend Police Department assisted with traffic control.

Police K-9 Menta and handler were dispatched to assist the Barton County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop at 1:03 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of NW 30 Ave. Eliseo Velasco Jr., 32, of Great Bend, was booked released from the county jail after posting bond.

A Barton County Sheriff’s deputy arrested one man on drug charges following the discovery of suspected narcotics during an early Friday morning traffic stop.
According to Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir, at about 1 a.m. Friday, Deputy Sheriff Alexandria Mason stopped a white Ford F150 for a traffic infraction in the 500 block of NW 30 Ave., northwest of Great Bend.
During the course the investigation, Mason became suspicious of possible drug activity and a canine unit from the City of Great Bend was dispatched to the location. The dog indicated the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle.
