The NBA thrives on talent. It markets games as individual matchups, making it completely dependent upon the superstars: LeBron James, Stephen Curry , Kevin Durant , James Harden , Damian Lillard , Chris Paul the list goes on.
The second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs is underway, and there's already been plenty of action. The Boston Bruins began with a convincing 5-2 win over the New York Islanders.

The NFL offseason has entered yet another stage.
We ve gone through the frenzy of free agency. The drama of the NFL draft. The revelry of rookie minicamp (OK, that one was a stretch). And now it s time for the outstandingness of organized team activities.
And…I broke alliteration.
Kidding aside, it s an important time for NFL teams: The first gathering of new arrivals and old standbys. For rookie players, it s the first opportunity to interact on the practice field with their veteran counterparts. For new coaches, it s the first chance to install new schemes and put their stamp on a franchise.

There s going to be a ton of focus on the New York Jets latest draft class during the 2021 season, and for good reason. They selected some players who could be franchise cornerstones for years to come, such as quarterback Zach Wilson, offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker and more.
However, there were already some talented players on the Jets roster heading into the offseason. Even though New York went 2-14 in 2020, that doesn t mean there weren t some players on the team who could end up being part of a turnaround for the franchise.
With the free-agent additions and their rookies, some returning Jets players will have more competition for playing time during training camp and the preseason. In order to secure jobs, they ll have to impress and put themselves in positions to have big seasons.

Taylor Hall s first postseason appearance might have felt magical to those in New Jersey, but the magic disappeared as soon as the puck dropped in Tampa.
Three years ago, the New Jersey Devils broke a five-year drought to get into the Stanley Cup playoffs, and it was largely based on Hall s unreal efforts during his MVP season.
The Devils returned to the Prudential Center down 2-0 to the Tampa Bay Lightning in their first-round series. Fans of the historic franchise knew nothing but winning for years before the playoff-less streak, and they were primed for a victory.
