By Advertiser Reporter Audi driver tried to fight dangerous driving case (but he d already admitted it in call to insurers) AN AUDI driver was caught out by a conversation with his insurers in which he admitted crashing into a council traffic light.  Karvin Dhillon wrapped his 2018-plate Audi S5 around the lamppost near his mum’s house in Swindon Road, Stratton, having driven dangerously from County Road on February 9 last year. He was three times the cocaine driving limit.  The 33-year-old had been due to stand trial this week on allegations of dangerous driving and driving a vehicle while over the specified drug limit, claiming he wasn’t behind the wheel.

Staff at the Greenbridge hall called police on February 2 last year after recognising Robert Barton from an image circulated by bingo bosses. The 38-year-old and another man were suspected of earlier stealing from an ATM at a Buzz Bingo hall in Feltham. Their image had been circulated by the chain, prosecutor Alec Small told Swindon Crown Court. They were detained by staff at the Swindon hall. PC Gareth Ivett arrived with other officers after they were called by hall staff.

By PA News Agency Ex-Chamber of Commerce president jailed for streaming child abuse A former Chamber of Commerce president has been jailed for 18 years for spending thousands of pounds on live-streaming “thoroughly deprived” sexual abuse of children as young as 10 in the Philippines. Peter Tomlinson, of Cowes, Isle of Wight, pleaded guilty at Newport Crown Court to 20 counts of child sexual abuse for which he paid a total of £10,000 during a four-year period. The court heard that the 63-year-old businessman and former president of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce made 127 transactions to accounts in the Philippines between May 2015 and April 2017 to pay for the live-streamed abuse.
