Bishop recalls pain of officiating three Albany murder victims funerals

Destiny Greene is the second teenage girl to be gunned down on an Albany street this month. Back on May 3, Chyna Fornay was shot and killed on Essex Street. Even though these two shootings were unconnected, the two young women did have something in common. They were both members of the same church in Albany s South End. Because Destiny and Chyna were both members of the Elijah Missionary Baptist Church, the same clergyman is officiating at both of their funerals. In fact, Bishop Avery Comithier has already planned or officiated at the funerals for three young murder victims this month.
