Country Racing Victoria has gone beyond just the advertising jingle, with an extension of its new ‘Racing Strong’ campaign being commissioned into a full length song.
Following such a strong response to a recent campaign, the Country Racing body said it commissioned a full length song, turning it into an anthem for the communities where country racing is significant.
A statement from Balance, the creative agency behind the campaign said it is every agency and client’s dream to turn a piece of campaign music into a full length song, and that is what they have done to coincide with campaign which was released on 11 July.

Canadian Police Just Charged Relatives Of President Aoun With Possession Of Drugs And Weapons
Relatives of the Lebanese President Michel Aoun have been accused of and charged with drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons in Windsor, Canada.
This comes after the police in the city of Windsor has uncovered an elaborate drug smuggling network of great quantities of cocaine, opium materials, and various unlicensed firearms.
A ten-month investigative operation involving members of the Windsor Police Service Criminal Intelligence Unit, the Drugs and Guns (DIGS) Unit, and the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA), was carried on, leading to the identification of several suspects, residences, and vehicles.
Committee members Reifer and Gerson are encouraging donations of a minimum of $50 gift cards from local businesses. They can be from any neighborhood coffee shop, hair salon, toy store, restaurant, bar, gift shop, florist, bakery, grocer, or crafts store as long as it’s a locally-owned business, not a national chain store.
The gift cards will be grouped by categories to create silent auction items, which people can bid on here a week before the event.
“If people spend $50 in the community, then we will have amazing auction items, and the businesses will be supported as well,” Reifer said. “It’s a win-win situation. Many of the business owners are our friends and neighbors and for the past 10 months they’ve been struggling.”
