one year ago today, a white supremacist opened fire at the holocaust museum. special police officer steven tyrone johns was killed. this morning, his colleagues gathered to remember a man who gave his life so others would be spared. news 4 s tracee wilkins joins us live with more on this memorial. reporter: good morning. that memorial was held this important and it was private. because of it, they actually opened the museum about 30 minutes later than usual. as you can see here, crowds are beginning to make their way in. today s anniversary was all in memory of officer steven tyrone johns. it was one year ago today special police officer stephen johns died it the line of duty after police say he was shot and killed by a white supremacist, james von braun. the then 88-year-old von braun entered the holocaust museum well armed and firing. von braun died months later in police custody. today, officer johns is remembered with a plaque at the entrance, reminding all who enter th
