The wildlife wing of the forest department has identified six vulnerable elephant crossing points along National Highway-49 in Keonjhar district after a 20-year-old tusker was killed in a truck hit. The forest department will request the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to install caution boards to reduce truck speeds in areas where elephants frequently cross.
