The Quezon City metropolitan trial court (MeTC) on Monday, Jan. 9, dismissed the perjury charges filed by then National Security Adviser Hermogenes C. Esperon Jr. against 10 human rights defenders.

A group of lawyers has expressed hope that the perjury charges filed against 10 human rights defenders by then National Security Adviser Hermogenes C. Esperon Jr. would be dismissed by the Quezon City metropolitan trial court (MeTC).
The MeTC is expected to promulgate on Monday, Jan. 9,
