ALTON Aldermen meeting as a committee of the whole on Monday are set to discuss repairs to Riverfront Park.
The committee will vote on authorizing the city’s Project Engineers Sheppard, Morgan & Schwaab, Inc. to prepare and advertise for bids on the work and repairs at Riverfront Park.
Alton Public Work Director Bob Barnhart said the project will be done with Federal Emergency Management Agency financial assistance the city received due to the 2019 flood. The amount of $332,795.57 was deemed eligible by FEMA, with the city receiving $249,596.68 for repair specific to Riverfront Park.
