Police have warned skateboarders gathering in large numbers in The Centre in Bristol that they could be liable for enforcement fines if they refuse to follow or blatantly breach Covid regulations.
City centre police chiefs said they will continue to patrol the area between Electricity House and the Cenotaph in The Centre, and try to prevent gatherings from occurring.
But after some local residents complained about the large numbers of skateboarders gathering in that area on dry evenings, police said that people are allowed to go out for exercise , which skateboarding counts as.
