WOTTON under Edge s Electric Picture House Cinema has received a grant of more than £27k to help it weather the coronavirus crisis. The venue has confirmed it has been awarded a grant of £27,324 from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport’s (DCMS )Culture Recovery Fund. It forms part of the British Film Industry scheme awarding DCMS money to support independent cinemas during the pandemic. The Electric Picture House Cinema is among the 202 independent cinemas across England being supported this Christmas with a grant from the recovery fund. Gareth Negus, director of the Electric Picture House Cinema said: “After a tumultuous year, we are relieved and delighted to have been awarded this funding from the Cultural Recovery Fund.
