TVS Motor reported a 25% increase in April sales, selling 3,83,615 units compared to 3,06,224 units last year. Two-wheeler sales surged by 27%, with domestic sales up 29%. Motorcycle sales grew by 24%, while scooter sales rose by 34%. However, three-wheeler sales declined. Electric vehicle sales soared to 17,403 units.
Two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company on Wednesday said it registered a growth of 25% with sales increasing from 306,224 units in April 2023 to 383,615 units in April 2024.
Electric two-wheeler sales plummeted 50% in April due to a seasonal slump worsened by subsidy changes. Ola Electric dominated with 33,000 scooter sales. Legacy firms like Bajaj and TVS Motors also saw declines.
