Teenagers aged 16 and 17 in Wales have, for the first time, the right to vote in the Welsh parliamentary election.
About 70,000 16 and 17-year-olds are eligible to vote but just days before the registration deadline fewer than 9,000 in six counties had signed up to do so, figures gathered by the Election Reform Society (ERS) suggested.
But for the politcally engaged, Thursday 6 May cannot come soon enough.
BBC Radio 5 Live has been speaking to some of those first-timers to find out what issues matter most to them - and how it feels to make history.

Young climate activists are calling on their peers to use their vote to amplify and empower the youth voice .
Two members of the Youth Climate Ambassadors for Wales said if politicians did not listen to young voters they could be out of a job .
They added that it would change the perception of young people as naughty, immature or not as knowledgeable .
Shenona Mitra, 17, from Bangor, and Poppy Stowell-Evans, 16, from Newport, said the impact of young activists like Greta Thunberg had fuelled the passion of other young people to campaign for the environment.

Thousands of young voters are running out of time to register to vote at the Welsh election, statistics show.
For the first time about 70,000 16 and 17-year-olds are eligible to vote when the polls open on 6 May.
But, figures gathered by the Election Reform Society (ERS) suggest fewer than 9,000 are registered in six counties - the deadline to do so is this Monday.
Jess Blair, of the ERS, said young people were at risk of not having their say .
