This morning inside this Apartment Building in richmond hill. Police say a threeweekold boy discovered dead in a courtyard here. Neighbors aghast. Oh, my god, thats horrible. Thats terrible. Reporter police say it happened around 4 a. M. Here on 115th street and myrtle avenue. The infant who lived with his family on the fourth floor of the building. There was blood everywhere. Reporter she heard a noise outside her window this morning, went to the courtyard and made the discovery. Shaken, she called 911. They told me to go back in and do cpr. I cant, im sorry. Reporter cops are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. Police sources tell us that the infant was thrown from his fourth floor apartment window. I was just shocked. Reporter sources say the infants father mohammed ahmed, his mother and two other adults and children were in the apartment when it happened. All were taken here to the 102 precinct for questioning. Unclear where or how they contracted it, for the people near by. It is scary, this neighborhood it is all little kids. They showed uh in face masks and destroyed it in the water, neighbors question if they are at risk. Just to be on the safe said well get our cooling system checked. It is the first case outside of the south bronx where the outbreak killed 10 people and affected 100 others, traced the problem for five areas that have since been treated. We think the hospital breached its duty to adequately check the environmental systems. Says his client got sick at lincoln hospital, he plans to sue the city for 10 million. The governor ordered the Health Department to take action. We are starting a massive testing effort in that immediate vicinity where we will send people out to see if they are a source of the bacteria or not.
