eizzo@adirondackdailyenterprise.com LAKE PLACID The town of North Elba is again seeking a speed limit reduction on a section of Old Military Road. The town’s request is to lower the speed limit from 45 to 35 miles per hour. The town has asked the state Department of Transportation to consider lowering the speed limit on Old Military Road multiple times in the past most recently a few months ago, according to town Supervisor Jay Rand but the DOT has denied the requests. The most recent request that was denied sought to lower the speed limit between Newman Road and Church Street.
