Elaine Perlman, Director of the Peace Corps Fellows Program and TC alumna, in a conversation about anonymous kidney donation. Exactly one year ago in New York City, Elaine donated her kidney to a stranger who lives in Georgia, initiating a kidney chain that resulted in four people around the country receiving kidneys. Nearly 100,000 Americans are on the kidney waitlist and many people do not know that they can live great lives with only one kidney.
The aim of the webinar is to raise awareness about the opportunity for altruistic kidney donation and will include a short informative talk followed by a question and answer session.
