Growing fears for future of Mornington dunes

New road proposed for Rathmullen would transform travel time across Drogheda town

A new developer-led stretch of road, an extension of the road into the IDA Park on the Donore Road and exiting around Sheephouse, would transform traffic on the overstretched Rathmullen Road. That s the proposal Cllr Paddy Meade put to fellow councillors at last week s special planning meeting in relation to the new Meath Co Development Plan. It is now likely the proposal will form part of the Transport Strategy report presently about to commence between Meath and Louth County Councils. Cllr Meade said the new road would service the likes of St Oliver s Community College and all the residents in that area.
