Elac, the German maker of high-quality speakers, has announced a special edition of its popular Debut ConneX powered bookshelf model featuring a minimalist aesthetic created by the Brooklyn-based fashion label Adsum. In addition to a distinctive tubular metal stand and detachable magnetic grilles, the designer speaker (DCB41-DS) boasts a modern feel with squared-off edges and painted cabinets. The speakers ship with a "bespoke" remote control and custom-colored cables. Elac says the urban aesthetic was conceived with the space-conscious city dweller in mind.
