Restaurants throughout the South Bay have modified their businesses to accommodate dining while also meeting LA County Health Department mandates for controlling the spread of the coronavirus. Currently this means they can fill take-out and delivery orders. Other restaurants are closing temporarily while considering options and waiting for updates from city, state and county governments. AID IN RESPONSE TO COVID CLOSURES The Strand House offers meals to laid-off workers Just in time for Christmas, 1,000 families will receive free holiday meals to take home and enjoy. The meals are offered to out-of-work South Bay restaurant employees by the owners at The Strand House, 117 Manhattan Beach Blvd. in Manhattan Beach. The packaged, to-go meals include roasted turkey breast, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, garlicky green beans and more, including bread pudding for dessert.
